Shahn is kneeling in the doorway cutting the air conditioner hole.

This is the front wall again. It has all of its layers - mahogany plywood, painted both sides with epoxy. The outside gets a layer of kevlar and epoxy mixed with glass spheres called micro balloons and a graphite powder. The core of the wall is 1” fir studs, reflective closed-cell foam insulation and another layer of plywood coated both sides with epoxy. Once this layer covers the studs it gets covered with kevlar and epoxy. This will be the inner wall and it will receive a different final finish.
